ETL Developer (Informatica)

We are seeking an ETL developer with good all round experience of delivering data integration projects. The organisation we are working with has adopted Informatica as their ETL tool of choice and is looking for an individual with either existing skills in Informatica PowerCenter or a strong desire to learn Informatica coupled with experience across other ETL (including but not limited to; Oracle ODI / OWB, IBM InfoSphere DataStage, BusinessObjects Data Integrator, Cognos Data Manager, SSIS, Ab Initio, SAS Data Integration Studio etc..)
This is a key role that needs someone who is passionate about the value that data integration can deliver, and who is happy to be the go-to person for all such requirements in the organisation. Good people/communication skills will be vital as you will be working in an agile development environment, so being able to take the initiative and think on your feet will also be essential.
The role will cover some initial requirements analysis, design and build of all integration-related aspects of the solutions, as well as working with closely with the architecture team to build out the integration landscape in line with strategic plans.
In summary the ideal person will have solid experience of ETL technologies, SQL and Java skills, some document processing exposure (i.e. pdf splitting) and good knowledge of database modelling techniques and data warehouse design concepts.
